    Varanasi, or Benaras, (also known as Kashi) is one of the oldest cities in the world. It holds a prominent place in the Hindu mythology as well and is considered the microcosm of Hinduism itself. Within this city’s limits is the Ramnagar Fort which is located near the Ganges River on its eastern shore, opposite the Tulsi Ghat.
