Get into the tribal zone with props of sticks and leaves. There are several adventurous tasks at hand. Provide for your tribe with the theme of collecting water. The catch is that you and your team will be given a basket with many holes and will have to use leaves to cover it up. Manage the whole thing in such a way that the water does not leak. Either that or you would have to collect water with a bamboo stick. Other activities include starting a fire using old techniques and hunting for food with a game of archery. You will also have to find shelter and build it with the materials that are provided. Engage in Scavenger Hunt where the utensils will be hidden across. You and your group will have to scout for them. Somewhere along the way, a lion is on the prowl and you have to undertake Jumaring (rope climbing activity). Also, one of your tribesmen is injured. The team has to make a stretcher with what is provided and will have to carry him back on top of it.

The team that manages to complete all of these activities successfully at the earliest will be titled the winner.

Intersection - to complete an intersection task two teams must join forces for the duration of an activity.

Yield - a leading team is given the opportunity to force another following team to yield by completing an extra activity before continuing.

Session 1: Stone Age, the rise of Homo sapiens

Get a feel of the Stone Age with leaves and furry caps as props. You and your team will have to learn to survive in the scenario of that time. A phenomenal discovery, make fire with what is accessible in nature. Wheels will be provided and you and your team will have to build a cart to carry a certain amount of stones. Together, cook food with the bare necessities. Learn to survive in the jungle. With team spirit and ingenious ways, solve the problems that arise while living in the wilderness. Survive the Ice age with the Ice walk. Here, the entire team needs to work together and coordinate steps to reach the destination first. Form a settlement, build a shelter and indulge in tent pitching.

Session 2: Bronze Age, The rise of civilization

Keeping to the theme of this age, you will don medieval theme caps. Engage in the exciting game of archery and hunt for your tribe. It is time to expand your kingdom and conquer the neighbourhood over a round of Catapult. Also, experience the rise of Olympics. Together, indulge in a sports theme. Here you and your team get to strategise, collaborate and bond over thrilling games of human foosball and canvas race. Using creative methods, build a newspaper bridge that connects to your kingdom.

Session 3: Iron Age

Get into the element of Iron Age with props of top hats, jumpers and camouflage bandana. Enhance the communication of the civilization. Engage in the activity of Roller coaster where you build a railway. With the use of pipes, make a walking model of a rollercoaster. Build a car with the props given. Avail of the wheels from the Stone Age to design the vehicle. Somewhere along, be prepared and equipped as the World War breaks. Defend your country with air rifle shooting and paint ball. Symbolically propel your team into the nuclear age with kiting and sky lanterns.

The catch is that you and your team will be given a basket with many holes and will have to use leaves to cover it up. Manage the whole thing in such a way that the water does not leak. Either that or you would have to collect water with a bamboo stick. Other activities include starting a fire using old techniques and hunting for food with a game of archery. You will also have to find shelter and build it with the materials that are provided. Engage in Scavenger Hunt where the utensils will be hidden across. You and your group will have to scout for them. Somewhere along the way, a lion is on the prowl and you have to undertake Jumaring (rope climbing activity). Also, one of your tribesmen is injured. Survive the Ice age with the Ice walk. Here, the entire team needs to work together and coordinate steps to reach the destination first. Form a settlement, build a shelter and indulge in tent pitching.

Session 2: Bronze Age, The rise of civilization

Keeping to the theme of this age, you will don medieval theme caps. Engage in the exciting game of archery and hunt for your tribe. It is time to expand your kingdom and conquer the neighbourhood over a round of Catapult. Also, experience the rise of Olympics. Together, indulge in a sports theme. Here you and your team get to strategise, collaborate and bond over thrilling games of human foosball and canvas race. Using creative methods, build a newspaper bridge that connects to your kingdom.

Session 3: Iron Age

Get into the element of Iron Age with props of top hats, jumpers and camouflage bandana. Enhance the communication of the civilization. Engage in the activity of Roller coaster where you build a railway. With the use of pipes, make a walking model of a rollercoaster. Build a car with the props given. Avail of the wheels from the Stone Age to design the vehicle. Somewhere along, be prepared and equipped as the World War breaks. Defend your country with air rifle shooting and paint ball. Symbolically propel your team into the nuclear age with kiting and sky lanterns.

During this event, they will pass through 3 Ages, i.e. Stone Age, Iron Age and Nuclear Age, Nuclear Age being the most recent. As you and your group pass through each age, the behaviour, clothes, language see a change accordingly. At every age, the teams need to work on a different war cry. For every stage, there is a task that needs to be finished which will allow them to move in to the next. The three levels are.

Stone Age

The prop for this theme is a piece of rag. Here the task given is relatively simple. You and your team will have a build a man pulled cart that will assist the entire team in crossing over to the next age.

Iron Age

Get into the zone of the age with a long hat. At this stage, the activity gets complex. You and your team members need to build the bicycle with the materials given and travel to Nuclear Age.

Nuclear Age

Teams must build a car and successfully test its functionality, with one person sitting and others pushing. 

The thrilling game ends here. The team that manages to complete all the tasks first and come out with ingenious designs is the one that will emerge as triumphant one.

Teams that complete the task and get most points win the treasure. However, there is a catch, only one fourth of the map is given to the teams. Also, you will have to stick to the pirate’s code – a set of rules for the whole event. The ideal location to engage in this activity would be the beach. 

Get into the zone of a pirate world with the props of bandana, eye patches and sword. There are different facets and steps to this fun filled game. Set sail to the high seas with the Raft Building exercise. The materials will be given to your team and you will have to make a raft out if it. With as many people that can be on it, this raft will be set across the water for a distance to see if it works. In another activity, you will also have to construct your secret lair by sand castle building. Along with the group, build a huge and strong sand castle.

Together, scout for the three pieces of maps with different clues that take you closer to your goal. Your group will be given metal detectors, with which you will have to find the key which is buried somewhere on the beach. As you and your team are ship wrecked, survive the jungle with fresh water and fruits. Over here, the entire group will have to act as if they have been stranded in a jungle and they have to look out for creative solutions to the problems faced.  

Judiciously, cross the lava lake with the acid bridge. In this activity, you cannot touch your feet on the ground and should get from one point to the other with the help of crates. And finally after crossing all the hurdles solve the puzzle to open the gates to the treasure cave. Behold! For out comes the Pandora’s Box. Cheer away with your team members as you bring back the booty of precious objects.

Kotebetta is the third highest peak in Coorg, and measures around 5400 ft. The scenic beauty that the trail showcases adds to the allure. It is a 16 Kms trek, and the guided experience is for 2 days and 1 night.

Leave from Bangalore for an overnight journey at 11 pm. Reach Madikeri early morning, freshen up and have breakfast in a local hotel. Take a bus to Hattihole and commence the trek to Kotebetta once you are here at 9 AM. Beginning on an asphalted road, you gradually enter the thick forest which leads to the summit. En route, visit the Shiva temple, take a breather for some time, and indulge in lunch.

Reach Kotebetta Peak and pitch tents. Unwind for a bit and witness the mesmerizing sunset. Arrange for a campfire and spend some fetching moments. Sleep in a tent with a company of stars. Wake up to a beautiful sunrise. Freshen up, have packed breakfast and start descending from the peak at around 9 am. Reach Hattihole and take a bus back to Madikeri. Have lunch at Madikeri and leave to Namma Bengaluru to reach night.

Description:

Spread over an area of 7.5 acres with a butterfly trail of about a kilometer length, it is divided as a butterfly garden, a conservatory with a polycarbonate roof and a research and captive breeding laboratory. The landscaped garden and the man made waterfall creates a natural habitat for these insects.The thirty species of butterflies belonging to five families are: Papilionidae, Pieridae, Nymphalidae, Lycaenidae and Hesperiidae. However one study reported 48 species of butterflies in various seasons here.

Bannerghatta Butterfly Park located about 22 kms from Bangalore, adjacent to the Bannerghatta National Park and is open on almost everyday. It is easily accessible by bus and other private transport. A trek around the Baralgundi Maralagundi Waterfalls is an amazing way to fulfil your yearnings for an adventurous trip. Laced perfectly with the beauty of nature, this 2D/1N trek takes you through dense forests, rugged terrains and finally to a picturesque cascade.

Starting an overnight journey from Bangalore at around 10pm, arrive at the basecamp located at the foothills of the Kodachadri range in Shimoga by 6am next morning. After having a hearty breakfast, relax for a while and attend a briefing session with the trek facilitators.

Taking you through dense and lush forests, rugged terrains and picturesque surroundings, the enthralling trek to the Baralgundi Maralgundi peak begins at 8am. Comprising a total distance of around 5km (each ways), this climb takes around 3-4hours to complete; relish packed lunch on the way. Upon arrival at the peak, witness the stunning sights and the panoramic view of the Kodachadri Range. Post this, trek down to a nearby campsite located around the Baralgundi Maralgundi Waterfalls.

Witness the captivating beauty of the cascade and relax around the campsite. With the advent of the evening, enjoy the mesmeric views of the sunset and before calling it the day, savour on a delicious dinner and the camp followed by overnight stay at the camp.

The next morning, after having breakfast in the camp at around 6am, start descending back to the basecamp. Upon arrival at the basecamp, freshen up and have lunch. Post this, relax for a while and depart the camp and embark on the return journey to Bangalore.

A trove of some spectacular waterfalls, Uttara Kannada is located around 420km from Bangalore. The treks to these cascades comprises of terrains that can be accessed by all types of trekkers. The guided activity, spread over two days will take you around six hours.
