Shivapuri is the
closet National Park from Kathmandu. It is also the second highest peak
near Kathmandu valley that offers rich variety of flora and fauna in this
region.
Trekking to Shivapuri is a short and easy adventure. Visit the
stunning Baghdwar which is the source of Holy River Bagmati flowing nearby famous
temple of Pasupatinath.
Drive for about 20 minutes to Budhanikantha Temple which is
8 km north of Kathmandu. After exploring this temple hike through Shivapuri
conservation area and begin your exploration.
Nagi Gumpa is situated at an altitude of 2330 m north of
Kathmandu just above Budhanilkantha Temple. This is a famous Monastery for
those nuns who practice Buddhism and look for meditation.
Embark on a short cut down hill trail to Kopan for about two
hours and drive back to Kathmandu as your experience ends here.
