Kanha National Park is located in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh and it extends over an area of over 1,940-sq-kms. The major feature of this region is its interesting topography which is the horseshoe shaped valley and the whole park area is surrounded by the spurs of the Mekal. By a special statue in 1955, Kanha national park came into being. Since then, a series of stringent conservation programmes for the protection of the parks flora and fauna has given Kanha its deserved reputation for being one of the finest and best administered national parks in Asia, an irresistible attraction for all Wildlife Adventure lovers a true haven for its animal and avian population. Kanha national park has 22 species of mammals. The most easily spotted are TIGER, Indian hare, Indian wild dog, the Stripped Palm Squirrel, Common langur, Jackal, Wild Pig, Chital or Spotless deer, Barasingha or Swamp deer, Sambar and black Buck.

Bandhavgarh National Park is one of the Indian Wildlife sanctuaries in Madhya Pradesh. The national park is situated 197 km north-east of Jabalpur. This wild life park derived its name from an ancient fort in the area. Bandhavgarh National Park belongs to the Vindhyan mountain ranges of central India and it boasts to have the highest density of tiger population in the country. If carefully watched for one can spot 46 to 52 tigers here.

In the Bandhavgarh National Park the visitors can enter on elephant backs apart from the four wheelers. The best time to visit the park to spot wildlife is early in the morning or after 4 pm. The park is closed during monsoon from 1st July to 31st October.

One can enjoy viewing the wildlife by two ways in Bandhavgarh - Jeep Safari and Elephant Safari. Jeep safaris are undertaken during the early morning hours till evening. A forest department guide is always there with the visitors on these jeep trips taken inside the park. Elephant safari trips are organized for tiger tracking early in the morning.

Bandhavgarh National Park is positioned in Madhya Pradesh and stretches along the range of Vindhyan Mountains. This park is noted for the presence of Royal Bengal Tigers and has the maximum density of tiger population in the country.

Remaining the hunting destination for the Maharaja of Rewa, the Bandhavgarh National Park is now the abode of rare species of White Tigers. The White Tigers were originally found in Rewa located near this park and have turned out to be one of the leading objects of interest in various zoos across the globe. The entire territory runs east to west with fragmented hilly ranges scattered with wetlands and forest areas.

This national park is famous for remaining the densest population in terms of per unit of forest area and rated among the top-notch national parks in India. Covering an area of about 448 sq km, the Bandhavgarh national park has 105 sq km of cross area. The Bandhavgarh hills, encircled by slanting valleys, are located at the central point of the park and measures about 811 meters above the sea level. At the end point of these valleys the area is covered with marshy grasslands having a local term called Bohera.

Bandhavgarh National Park is a protected area and serves as a shelter to various species of flora and fauna including gaur (Indian Bison), wild boar, leopard, sloth bear, porcupine, sambhar and spotted deer, in addition to the tiger species.

With tall thickets of elephant grass growing in a sprawling area of 430 sq km Kaziranga National Park makes for a world heritage site. With ideal conditions for the Indian One-Horned Rhino and measureless poaching this park was declared to be a sanctuary in 1940.

Tigers are the highlight of Indian Wildlife but this place is also well known for one horned rhino. The trek from Chumathang to Yaya Tso Trek takes 6 days and the best time to do it is from Mid June to September. We drive from Leh to Chumathang in 4 hours. Chumathang is well known for its springs. It has medical importance but the use of water here is also done to wash clothes. The Chumathang village is not very far from the springs and a small monastery nearby can be a good place to explore.

From Chumathang we walk across the village, cross the animal pastures, get a chance to spot wildlife like blue sheep and marmots and take in some amazing sights of natural beauty. After 5 hours we arrive at Gangra. Next stop is Sumdo that takes 4 hours. Sumdo is where three valleys merge together. It is a sight to behold and surely a place to pitch up tents for the day.

From Sumdo we leave for Phayalung. It takes about 8 hours for the trek to complete. Climb to Choku La is pretty tough hence we start early in the morning. From Phayalung we trek to Yayatso. We come across several shepherds, a gorgeous flowing river, a desert plateau and then the village Yaya. The lake near this village is called Yaya tso. We drive down to Mahe halting to visit the nunnery and then go straight to Leh.

Get into the tribal zone with props of sticks and leaves. There are several adventurous tasks at hand. Provide for your tribe with the theme of collecting water. The catch is that you and your team will be given a basket with many holes and will have to use leaves to cover it up. Manage the whole thing in such a way that the water does not leak. Either that or you would have to collect water with a bamboo stick. Other activities include starting a fire using old techniques and hunting for food with a game of archery. You will also have to find shelter and build it with the materials that are provided. 

Engage in Scavenger Hunt where the utensils will be hidden across. You and your group will have to scout for them. Somewhere along the way, a lion is on the prowl and you have to undertake Jumaring (rope climbing activity). Also, one of your tribesmen is injured. The team has to make a stretcher with what is provided and will have to carry him back on top of it. 

The team that manages to complete all of these activities successfully at the earliest will be titled the winner.

Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary in Wayanad is about 97 km from Kozhikode town. The second-largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala, Muthanga consists of tropical moist dry deciduous, evergreen forests, bamboo thickets & plantations, and is home to many varieties of birds and animals. 

The Sanctuary has a large population of pachyderms and has been declared a Project Elephant site. Elephants roam freely here and tigers are sighted occasionally as well. Description:

Spread over an area of 7.5 acres with a butterfly trail of about a kilometer length, it is divided as a butterfly garden, a conservatory with a polycarbonate roof and a research and captive breeding laboratory. The landscaped garden and the man made waterfall creates a natural habitat for these insects.The thirty species of butterflies belonging to five families are: Papilionidae, Pieridae, Nymphalidae, Lycaenidae and Hesperiidae. However one study reported 48 species of butterflies in various seasons here.

Bannerghatta Butterfly Park located about 22 kms from Bangalore, adjacent to the Bannerghatta National Park and is open on almost everyday. It is easily accessible by bus and other private transport. A day spent at the butterfly park is an excellent opportunity to get out of the routine city life; to learn and witness these colorful creations of nature.

Gokarna, a small temple town located in the Uttar Kannada district of Karnataka, is home to several unspoiled beaches. Situated around 8 kms away from the town is the pristine Om Beach, named so because its shape resembles the Hindu religious symbol. Blessed with tropical weather, the area has plenty of palm trees dotting its coastline. Its azure waters are ideal for an exciting dolphin spotting trip.

Starting with your arrival in Guwahati, you will be taken to Shillong by our representative who will meet you at the airport itself. After your arrival, you are free to explore Shillong and feel why exactly this place is loved so much. The next day will be dedicated to a transfer to Cherrapunji, where you will see Dainthlen falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls, and Mawsmai Caves, alongside the Thangkharang Park, the post which you will return to Shillong, to spend unforgettable moments at the Shillong Peak.

And after a day of local sightseeing in Shillong, you will head to the Kaziranga National Park, to see Indian Elephants, Deer, and some of the rarest birds, all on a jeep safari. The tour then takes a turn towards Bhalukpong, only to head towards one of the most beautiful monasteries in the country in the hill station of Tawang. The best part about this monastery high up in the clouds is that it was the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama of Buddhism, is more than 400 years old and has still somehow retained all of its original charms. The next transfer will take you to the beautiful valley of Dirang, where you will be seeing Kiwi gardens, Sangti Valley, and the Zimthung viewpoint.

You will then leave to visit the Nameri National Park, which is the home to a variety of Flora and Fauna specific to this region. After having a ball of a time here, you will return back to Guwahati where you will spend an amazing day out visiting Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, State Museum and to Emporiums for ethnic local products, Maa Kamakhya Temple, Navagraha Temple, Shukleshwar Temple & Balaji Temple, before getting a final drop off to the airport after checking-out. From here, you will be taking your return flight, packed with a lot of memories and souvenirs collected from here on this North East tour package.
