The Subansiri River which happens to be the biggest tributary of the Brahmaputra, runs through Tibet before it enters India at Asaphila in Arunachal Pradesh. It is inaccessible by road and has negligible inhabitation in the area. Subansari, a swift river offers excellent kayaking opportunities and is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
The Subansari Gold River is the biggest tributary of the Upper Brahmaputra and descends through verdant rainforests in the tribal state of Arunachal Pradesh. Subansari river rafting expedition passes through dense rainforests, ethnic surroundings and some great white water. This beckoning river is challenging and demanding. This river has no road artery linking it on either side of the Great Himalayan Treks spanning about 150 km.
The vertical rock surface around the river lends it a coarse look and challenges the adventurer in you. One can kayak on the challenging rapids simultaneously enjoy the serenity of the remote location when you set up camp for the day. For self-contained team of kayakers, we can organise a higher put in from Taksing, with helicopter induction, on request. The ideal times to go on this expedition are in the months of March, November and December.
