Bannerghatta National Park, home to wildlife just outside Bangalore is one of the favourite destinations for people of all ages. Encountering these animals from the close on the safari makes it one of the popular activities here. Bannerghatta National Park Safari is one of the amazing places where people encounter animals as they drive through this forest reserve. Established in the year 1971 over an area of 104.27 sq km, It is popular for its Tiger and Lion safari. One can see wild animals like Leopards, Lions, Zebras, Bengal Tigers, Panthers, Rhinoceroses, Elephants, Porcupines, White Tigers, Spotted Deer, Bison and Bears.
Bannerghatta National Park Safari allows you to have a highly educational experience. It is a rehabilitation centre to orphaned animals of which are rescued from circus, crime or the wild. This safari is a great way to develop empathy towards animals and is one of the best places for people to learn more about wildlife. The national park and the safari have been the pride of the Garden City Bangalore. The Grand Safari (to & fro) is of 16 km while the close-up Tiger Safari is of 11 km. The two different types are the Jeep safari and AC bus service. Permission to carry a camera has to be obtained for which a fee is charged.

Bannerghatta National Park is 25.3 km away from Bangalore Palace and can be easily reached on public or private transport.
