On this magical guided tour stretched over two days, you’ve the chance to become one with the place, its people and explore its captivating surroundings on a 120km bicycle ride.
Leave from Bangalore at 10 pm as the overnight journey from Bangalore takes you to Sagara. Your base here is a homestay accommodation. On day 1, after breakfast, go on a peaceful leisure ride to Nagara Fort, a 16th century fort built on a small hillock. Pedal your way back to Hosanagara for lunch around 1 pm. Refreshed from an afternoon siesta, prep for a slightly strenuous ride to the scenic rock-filled Chakra Dam. Next dwell into yet another picturesque world at Savehaklu Reservoir built over a placid lake. Rejoice sunset from here and ride back to your homestay for an evening of bonfire and dinner.
On day 2, you’ll ride around 80 kms. Begin after breakfast around 7 am. This ride will take you through Thirthahalli, an attractive landscape stroked with many natural shades. Stop over at Kavaledurga Fort. Cross by a charming waterfall blending into the environs. Break for lunch at Mani Reservoir. From hereon you’ll release your bikes and board a vehicle for Agumbe. Bask in the setting sunrays in this region of green gold, and leave for Bangalore around 7 pm, with dinner break at Chikkamagalur. Reach the city around midnight.
