This bungalow is as artsy as it gets. Owned by a well-known artist who has portrayed her sensitivity towards nature in building, it is one of her finest pieces of art.
Located in Awas village, the homestay is a short drive away from the Mandwa Jetty which can be reached via a ferry from the Gateway of India. Surrounded by trees, the house is built using locally sourced materials like chuna, fenugreek seeds and jaggery to make the walls. Assortment of tiles adorn the bathroom floor and pathways covered with red bricks add to the rustic charm of the house.
As whimsical as it gets, the villa is just the right place to cosy up in a corner or unwind under the stars to feel closer to Mother Nature and let your creative juices flow.
