- This trip takes you through a number of Grade III, IV to IV+ rapids including the famed Hillary Fall and Kakkar Fall.
- The trip starts from Chamoli, which is situated near the revered Badrinath temple, and ends at Rudraprayag, the confluence of the Alaknanda and Madakini rivers.
- The campsite on the banks of the river is bestowed with a thick forest that serves as a brilliant backdrop and plays home to a variety of birds. The rhythmic sound of the gushing river waters is soothing to the ears and its beaches fit perfectly as a child’s playground.

Engage in a short and sweet trekking activity that unravels to you the charm of Himalayas. A quaint hamlet in Uttarakhand, Chopta is steeped in natural beauty with lovely meadows and ringing thick forest. During the Chopta Chandrashila Trek in Uttarakhand, you will also be visiting the Shiva temple of Tungnath. Perched at 3470m, it is the highest place of worship positioned in the Garhwal region. Also, get the opportunity to conquer the Chandrashila summit that towers at 3650 m. The top treats with sweeping views of the entire horizon.
All along, you will be accompanied with breath-taking sights of frosted peaks. Enjoy camping by the lovely Devariyatal Lake. The trail to the top is a thrilling one as you make your way through bountiful forests and rhododendron bushes. The spectacular sight of Kedar Mountain Range adds to the experience.

About Dayara Bugyal Trek:
From Haridwar, travel upwards to the Barsu Village in the Uttarkashi region. Enjoy packed lunch en route. Arrive at Barsu Village by early evening. A beautiful campsite overlooking the towering peaks of Gangotri, Jaunli, Draupadi ka Danda is your halt for the night. Enjoy your evening cuppa soaking in this ambience. Start on the day’s trek after breakfast. Trek for around 5hrs to arrive at Barnala Tal. After the clearing of the meadows, find a circling of oak trees around a natural lake. This is the highlight of your trek to Dayara Bugyal. Capture moments at Barnala Lake. Submerge in the tranquil environs with reflections of the oak trees in the water. After breakfast, its time to bid goodbye to the pristine Barnala Lake. Trek uphill to the ridge line seen from Barnala to land at the clearing of Dayara Bugyal. The most lovely alpine meadows in India are spread across an area of 28 sq.km. Wake up to the sounds of chirping birds. Sip a cup of morning tea with the sun rising from behind the grand peaks of the Himalayas. Your last day here could not have had a better start.
