    About the Trek:

    Nestled high up in the mountains at an altitude of 3310 Mts above sea level Dodital trek is another must do trek for you. Known as one of the most beautiful treks in North India this trek has been attracting travellers from far and wide. This trek is named after the rare Himalayan trout which is known as Dodi in the local language.  You will start your Dodital trek from Dehradun and then to Uttarkashi. From there you will reach the quaint little village Sangam Chati. From there you will continue your trek with an initial steep climb that will take you to Agoda settlement. 

    Enjoy camping near the winsome campsite above the rivulet at Bhebra. Continue trekking and your trail will take you through a mixed forest high above the Asi Ganga before entering a side valley leading to Dodital. On your third day, you will be trekking for around 6 hours and to a height of 3310m. Catch the glimpse of the Gujar settlement and then make your way through the rhododendron, oak, pine and bamboo forest. Listen to the noise of the distant valleys and the birds chirping as you continue your trek.  You also pass steep ridge and long trail and get a chance to witness the majestic Himalayas.

Meadows, green patches with orchids, rhododendrons and dense jungle will be your friend during the trek. You will trek around 5 hours of trekking each day and cover a distance of 47 km. Perched at an altitude of 11,675ft this trek starts from Sankri basecamp. 

    You can enjoy the mesmerizing view of the evening sun while you are at the village.  The drive from Sankri will take you through sprawling wild orchids and Himalayan wildlife like barking Deer, Bores and Leopards. Then you will start trekking to Osla another small hamlet which offering some scenic views. You gradual ascend to Har ki dun trek is adorned with wild orchid fields and from an elevation of 6,200m. Feast your eyes at the amazing view of the Swargarohini and Juandar glaciers. 

    While on the trek Har ki dun camp you will come across the picturesque views of the glaciers and the valley just right in front of you. The climb is steep but the beautiful landscape compensates for the struggle. You will reach your campsite on the fourth day.
