Description:
Leave from Indiranagar, Bangalore around 6 am and reach the base of Nandi Hills, an ancient fortress of Southern India by 6.45 am. The fascinating guided birding starts and take in the stunning views that abounds. The thick and rich forest cover supports birdlife, making it a popular location for birdwatchers and photographers. The avian variety usually spotted here includes Indian Pitta, Indian Blue Robin, Nilgiri Woodpigeon, Pied Thrush, Eurasian Blackbird, Blue-capped Rock Thrush, Red-breasted Flycatcher and Malabar Whistling Thrush. Break for lunch around 12 and around 2 continue the bird watching experience.
At around 3 pm, leave for Hoskote Lake. Capture the rare sights on camera and enjoy bird and nature photography. Enriching the experience are the photography experts who give you insightful tips and teach you the basics of flight photography. Head back home completely refreshed and having honed the skill of taking still pictures.

Revel in an overnight camping and adventure filled experience at untamed Dandeli. The guided tour starts early in the morning around 7 am when you are driven from Dandeli to Ganeshgudi for an hour of bird watching. An expert naturalist guides you through the vegetation where over 350 species of birds reside. After a short interval for breakfast, the rest of the morning would be reserved for mountain biking on bikes specially adapted for the landscape. Enjoy riding through rough and bumpy paths. This would be followed by an hour of lunch and then would begin the enlivening surfing session in the River Kali.
After the invigorating session in the river water, the trek through the thick evergreen foliage of the nearby jungle with a guide well-versed with the route comes next. The final activity is the coracle ride on the river Kali’s peaceful waters when you might spot snakebirds and darters swooping over to catch a fish.
As dusk approaches, you would return to Dandeli and then onto Pansoli forest for the night camping. On reaching the camping site on the river bank, the bonfire is lit around which barbeque and dinner is served. Dinner concluded, you could either decide to sleep and rest in the camp tent or you could even choose to go for the night trek led by a guide through adjacent forest area. The next day after breakfast around 8 am, you will return to Dandeli.

Home to numerous birds and animals, the Dandeli Anshi Tiger Reserve, near the Karnataka–Goa border is located in the Western Ghats. The forests of Jungle Safari Dandeli are biodiverse and are home to over 300 species of birds, most prominent among them being the hornbills.
Jungle Safari in Dandeli into the reserve is conducted twice daily – first at 6 am and the second at 4 pm. For the morning slot, you would be driven from Dandeli to Kulgi at 5:30 am. Here you are transferred onto an open jeep of the forest department and the safari commences immediately. The same safari can be undertaken in the evening for which you would need to start at 3:30 pm and you would return at 7 pm.
Bird watchers and professional ornithologists are to be rewarded with sightings of rare and unique birds in their natural habitat. With a skilled naturalist to guide you through the forest area and share with you the interesting details of the animal kingdom, the trip inside the sanctuary is a great learning experience. At the end of the trip, you will be dropped back to Dandeli.
