You thought of an amazing Bhutan bike trip and that materialized into this brilliant journey that takes you to the land of the monks on thumping bikes. Also known as the Land of the Thunder Dragon, Bhutan is one of the most beautiful countries locked by land on all sides and nestled in the most adventurous region of the Himalayas. The country shares its border with Tibet, India, and Nepal, and you can see the cumulative effect of all these ethnicities in the people living in this amazing country. The country is the second least populated country in the continent of Asia, with its capital lying in the city of Thimphu, while the financial stronghold lies in the city of Phuentsholing.

And on a bike trip to Bhutan is one of the most amazing experiences that you can have while choosing to explore the brilliance and beauty of this country. As the sights pass you by of the green-clad hills and the snow-covered Himalayas, you will feel a rush like never before, willing to stop at every turn to frame some of the most perfect pictures in the Himalayas.

This bike trip to Bhutan starts with your arrival at the Bagdogra Airport, from where you will leave for Siliguri. This is the point where you will meet the bikes that will be your constant companion through the tour. Sit on these bikes and start the ride towards Phuentsholing, which lies all the way in Bhutan across the national Border. The next day you will continue the bike trip to reach the capital of Bhutan, Thimphu. Enjoy in the markets here before you take a whole day in exploring the amazing sights of the city, like the BBS Tower, SAARC Building, India House, Handicraft School, Memorial Chorten and Simtokha Dzong.

The next ride that you will be taking will be to cross the Dochula Pass and enter the city of Punakha, which is famous for being the home to the Punakha Dzong and the confluence of Po Chu and Mo Chu Rivers. The ride continues as you meander your way to Trongsa, which is a beautiful town built on the ridge of a hill and overlooks one of the most beautiful valleys in Bhutan. After spending a day in this scenic place, you will leave to go back to Punakha, where you will spend time exploring the markets and lifestyle before you move on to the beautiful city of Paro.

Once in Paro, you will spend a day exploring the local sights and markets of this beautiful city, and the next day in covering the Dzongs and monasteries, which also includes the world-renowned Paro Taktsang Monastery, which is also known as The Tiger’s Nest. Built on the side of a cliff, it is one of the most famous sights in Bhutan and is associated deeply with the history of this country. The last leg of the Bhutan bike trip involves you riding to Phuentsholing, visiting more attractions like the crocodile breeding centre and Amo Chuu before you ride your bikes back to Siliguri to hand them over and bringing the experience to an end.
