A trek to the foothills of the Chanderkhani Pass of the Kulu Valley will reveal to you a small town called Malana. Its scenic ambience and the historic, serene neighbouring village Jamlu is what put this scenic town on the map. Malana has history steeped in the very peaks around it; of stories of adventure as old as the Gods!
An exciting experience, Malana trekking offers you the great views of Dhauladhar Range, Deo Tibba, Indrashan, Ali Ratna and Parvati Valley. Malana is connected to Kulu by three magnificent mountain passes. From Parvati valley you can traverse the 3,180m Rashol Pass and from Naggar you can trek the 3,600m lovely Chanderkhani Pass.
The trek to Malana starts from Nerang and ends at Rumsu. The route has a moderately difficult ascent till Nagroni after which the trek then continues onward to the Alpine meadows and towards higher altitudes.
