ZOO DE LA BATIE

Take a walk deep into the woods… right in the heart of the city! Sounds too good to be true? Geneva’s Bois de la Bâtie promises you all that and more. Sprawled across 12 hectares of forest land, the Bois de la Bâtie is sited beautifully by the river Arve somewhere in the centre of the city. It is arguably one of the most relaxing attractions in Geneva.

Highlights:
Dotted with tall and magnificent oak trees, the forest will come as a pleasant change from the somewhat tiring hullabaloo of the city streets. Housing a wonderful animal park and a play area for children, the forest offers you a peaceful retreat away from the city.

The main intention of this haunt was to introduce and familiarise the city public with resident wildlife. As a secondary goal, the park has also contributed to the conservation of endangered wildlife species. Leave behind the chaotic urban vibes and wander into the realm of Bois de la Bâtie.
