The Top station is situated 32 KM off Munnar and it is the topmost point of Munnar. It is suggested that you hire a cab and take this journey through the forest to reach the highest point in Munnar. Top station (1700m) falls on the Munnar-Kodaikanal road and is the highest point in Munnar.
As it is located on the Kerala-Tamilnadu border, you get to witness the majestic vistas of the valley of Theni district of Tamil Nadu. It was coined as “Top Station” after the highest railway station located in Kundala Valley.
2018 marks another flowering season of Neelakurinji flowers which bloom once in twelve years and it drowns the valley in a beautiful shade of light blue colour. Kurinjimala sanctuary is very near to Top station and is best visited from April to May.
