Rama Teertham Overview

The Rama Tirtham is believed to be one of the most sacred pilgrims in Rameswaram in South India. The Temple is located on an island with lush forests in a peaceful plateau that serves as a refreshing tourist place to visit in Rameshwaram.It is in this place people believe Lord Ram used to bathe and meditate, thus making it an interesting yet authentic place to  visit in Rameswaram where people come to wash away their sins.

Rama Tirtham was made in the same significance like other Tirthams in Rameswaram, it symbolises the washing away of all sins that disrupt our lives. Like some Tirthams, Rama Tirtham is also surrounded by water while elevated from the ground where the Deities are placed. Rama Teertham  is one of the most visited places in Rameswaram, it is adorned in Dravidian style of work and the colors and restoration of the temple is undertaken throughout the year by respected authorities.

Best time to visit: Early morning or late Afternoon, temperatures become very hot in the middle of the day.
