INDO SWISS DAIRY FARM

In this farm, the cattle are closed in about a total of 11 enclosures or cattle sheds and the 500 acres campus is indigenously green. Indo Swiss Dairy Farm was established in the year 1963 where Tamil migrants reared the cattle. The sprawling campus is visited maximum by four people at once and nowadays you may also require special permission to visit.

You will witness the daily tasks of this project which includes collecting semen from high bred bulls, pruning, planting, cutting, cleaning, feeding etc. On the way to Mattupetti dam, this diary falls in the route is a very interesting tourist place to visit.

This is a livestock project initiated by Kerala Livestock Development Board(KLDB) Ltd which includes hundreds of high yielding cattle, given a land of 191 hectares. It is situated in Anayirankal, a village which is 22 km off Munnar.
