GWANGHWAMUN GATE

It is the main and largest gate of the Gyeongbokgung Palace. Being the main gate it is far more fancier as compared to the other gates and has its name written on the centre top.

It is located at a three-way intersection at the northern end of Sejongno and consists of three entrances; the centre was used by the king, while the other two were used by the prince and royal officials. The guards of the gate keep changing every hour and this is known to be a very enjoyable ceremony by the tourists.
