3. Bob Dylan festival in Meghalaya
This festival attracts a lot of tourists every year. It is held at the Central Library Auditorium of Shillong in the month of May. It is celebrated to acknowledge the contributions of Bob Dylan and was organized by the Lou Majau,a singer and some others for the initial time in the year 1972. It is a musical festival, people dance and make merry and there is music in the airs of Shillong.
4. Elephant Falls
Elephnat falls is yet another appeal of Meghalaya and is located at the outer reaches and is barely 12 kms from the chief city of Shillong. The exclusive part of Elephant Falls is a two-tier waterfall which is set in the rock dingles. 5. The beautiful Cave of Mawsynram
In the state of Meghalaya makes Mawsynram, a very famous tourist destination all over and the world. Mawsynram is situated 56 kms away from Shillong. It is located nearly 1 km to the north part of the village of Mawsynram. It is particularly famous for the enormous structure of stalagmite, which bear a resemblance to a Shivalinga. This structure is protected in a cave and the people locally call it Mawjymbuin.
