(Kukke) Subramanya

A hindu temple, Kukke Subramanya is located on the ghats of Karnataka. It is believed that the god Subramanya offered prayers to a snake, a divine serpent by the name of Vasuki and since then many other snakes found shelter under this lord.

This place is of great importance for people who want to do pujas to remove their Sarpa Dosha. The temple is on the banks of Kumardhara and situated 105 kms from Mangalore. The waters of Kumardhara are considered to be holy and hence worshippers take a dip whenever they visit. Free meals are provided to the devotees twice a day in Kukke Subramanya. People can have decent accommodations(chatras) to stay here. The best time to visit this place is anytime.
