most beautiful hill station of Kemmangundi
Kemmanagundi is a hill station located 225 kms from the airport. For people who look for quiet holidays and natural surroundings, this place can be an ideal choice. Kemmanagundi, Chikmagalur is gorgeous, filled with lush forests and foaming waterfalls. This hill station was once upon a time the summer retreat of Maharaja of Mysore. The best way to get here is by road. One can take a train to Kemannaguni or come here by road transport of a private vehicle. Driving here is easy; one needs to drive onto the Tumkur Road and drive straight to Chikmagalur which is just 55 kms from Kemannagundi. The horticulture guest house is a good option to consider while planning where to stay here. One can also opt to sight see here for a day and move onto other places like Shimona or Chikmagalur. The best time to visit this place is any time of the year. During monsoons the place looks refreshingly green and magnificent.
