Yambong Singalila Trek
Yambong - Singalila Trek offers the spectacular views of Kanchendzonga and Everest ranges. The trail is rich in flora and fauna. It covers the higher reaches of the Varsey Rhododendron Sanctury in the South West Sikkim.
This trek begins from the village of Nambu and culminates at Yuksom. Singalila is the famous mountain range that wraps the sacred landscape of Mt. Khangchendzonga. Yambong Singalila trail is called as a treasure mountain, and we could explore this beautiful, hidden paradise. It is an exceptionally pleasant trek for those who love nature and respect culture. It provides the panoramic view of Mt. Khangchendzonga, Mt. Pandim, Singalia Trek, and its affixing ranges.
This trek passes through Singallia Range bordering with Nepal from where we will have a chance to observe mountains of the Sikkim, East Nepal. The area of the park is of spectacular wilderness with one of the highest mountain peaks towering above virtually undisturbed forest cover. There are many glaciers in the park area.
Yambong is also a place where fusion of culture is clearly visible. This valley almost has everything which a tourist can dream of as a land of fairs and festivals, snow clad mountains, holy lakes and peaks, holy caves, pilgrim spots, living local culture, pleasant valley of flora and fauna etc.

Day 1:
Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport ,we will drive to the Gangtok (125 kms/4 hrs). On arrival at Gangtok, we will transfer to a hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2:
Second day will be for sightseeing which includes the famous Rumtek monastery, Enchey Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, Dodrul Chorten, flower Show and the Cottage Industries.
Arrangements for the trekking permits etc. will be made on this day. Overnight stay is at a hotel.
Day 3:
After breakfast, we will drive to Nambu/ Rimbick (145 kms/6 hrs/ 1600 mts altitude). After reaching there we will get transferred to a lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 4:
Our trek will start from Nambu to Sang Khola (7 kms/5 hrs/ 2050 mts altitude). Our overnight stay will be in camps.
Day 5:
After having breakfast, we will trek from Sang Khola to Naya Patel (6 kms/4 hrs/3000 mts. altitude). Overnight stay follows at a camp.
Day 6:
The next morning starts with a trek from Naya Patel to Lower Yambong (7 kms/5 hrs/3300 mts. altitude). Overnight stay is at a camp.
Day 7:
We will trek from Lower Yambong to Upper Yambong (6 kms./4 hrs./3735 mts. altitude). Overnight stay follows at a camp.
Day 8:
This day is planned for a Trek from Upper Yambong to Gomathang. (5 km/4 hours/3735 meters Altitude). Overnight stay is at a camp.
Day 9:
We will take a trek from Gomathang to Pangdang. (5km/4 hours/4210 meters Altitude). Overnight stay follows at a camp.
Day 10:
We will trek from Pangdang to Dzongri. (9 km/6 hours/3735 meters Altitude). Stay overnight at a camp.
Day 11:
We will start our day trekking from Dzongri to Lamune. (7 km/5 hours/4164 meters Altitude). Overnight stay follows at a camp.
Day 12:
We will trek from Lamune to Teen Kune and to Thangsing. (8 km/7 hours/3936 meters Altitude). Stay overnight at a camp.
Day 13:
We will follow a trek from Thangsing to Tsokha (10 km/4 hours/2048 meters Altitude). Overnight stay is at a camp.
Day 14:
We will start our trekking from Tsokha to reach Yuksum (12 km/6 hours/1560 meters Altitude). Transfer to the lodge.
Day 15:
After breakfast we will drive to Darjeeling. Transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 16:
Early morning drive to Tiger Hill for sunrise. On the way back, visit the Yiga Choling (Ghoom) Monastery, War Memorial. After breakfast, we will visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, and Tibetan Self Help Centre. In the evening you are free to visit the local market and the "Chowrasta" Mall. Overnight stay follows at a hotel.
Day 17:
After breakfast drive to Bagdogra Airport for onward Journey.
