Hampta Pass Trek is one of the most delightful treks in the Manali region, located in Himachal. It's an excellent option for the trekkers who are reasonably fit. This trek proceeds through forests of walnut, oak and the occasional alder which keep you spellbound with their sheer grandeur and spectacular beauty.
This short trek begins from the lush green valley of Kullu-Manali and ends in the barren landscape of Chandra valley in Lahual. This is a moderate trek with a scope for varying the duration to suit ones time. The appropriate period to visit this place is May to October. This trek is also possible in the Monsoons when the wild flowers are in full bloom.
The trail goes right up to the base of the high mountains of Deo Tibba, Indrasan and their Glaciers. The initial trek follows the river valley leading to the Hampta pass. Deo Tibba is popular among climbers who have good mountaineering knowledge.
