Siladooni Overnight Trek

Siladoooni is used mainly as pastoral ground by the local villagers for gazing. The campsite is surrounded with thick forest and is home to barbets, thrushes, woodpeckers and a variety of Himalayan bird species. The water holes made by the villagers for their cattle are favorite with the wild animals and a chance to catch them at these water holes is high for the early risers. This is an area which has been attracting people for centuries. Our journey will commence from Delhi to Kuflon via Haridwar and then to Siladooni. The best seasons to visit this place are summer - from March to June; and autumn - from September to November.

Day 01: Arrive Kuflon (1550m)

Board the waiting vehicles at the Haridwar railway station and 6 hrs to reach kuflon from for lunch. Check into the tents. Take a familiarization walk for 1 hr after tea in the evening. Overnight follows with dinner at campfire in Kuflon.

Day 02: Kuflon to Siladooni (2100m)

After an early morning breakfast, we will depart for the trek with packed lunch. This trek takes 2-3 hrs, which ascents to a highland field at Siladooni, to approximately 7000 ft. The climb is through a mixed pine, oak, Rhododendron forest. Stay overnight in tents and have your dinner.

Day 03: Siladooni to Kuflon (1550m)

After an early breakfast, we will return to Kuflon from siladooni to reach there by lunch. Take a hot refreshing bath or take a dip in the nearby natural pool. Overnight follows in Kuflon.

Day 04: Kuflon to Delhi

After breakfast, drive for 6 hrs from Kuflon to Haridwar then board the evening train to reach Delhi.
