The newly opened Himalayan valleys of Lahaul, Spiti, Kinnaur and Baspa offer Jeep Safaris through the splendor of rocky escarpments and snow-covered peaks. Best season for jeep safaris vary in different regions. For Ladakh, July to September is the best time, for Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand (Garhwal and Kumaon). May to October is the best time. One should avoid rainy season here.

This is a popular jeep safari to one of the remotest regions of Himachal Pradesh - Kinnaur & Spiti valleys. Visit remote valleys, villages and cross over high mountain passes with spectacular views of snow capped peaks, rugged terrain and old monasteries.

The route from Shimla to Leh is one of the most exciting drive which takes across the high Himalayan Treks and two extensive plains resembling the Prairies of Russia and America. The route which passes the district of Kinnaur, Lahaul/Spiti, Nubra takes over one of the two highest passes in Ladakh, Tanglang-la. From the top of the pass, a magnificent view of the Ladakh range of mountains can be seen.

Day 01: Delhi to Shimla

We will transfer from Delhi to Chandigarh by Shatabdi Express and then drive towards Shimla by non A/C car. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 02: In Shimla

In Shimla, the once summer capital of Britishers, we will spend the day sightseeing in and around it. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 03: Shimla to Sarahan

The drive takes you to the place known for the temple of Goddess Bhima Kali, 174Km - 7 hrs. The village is surrounded by apple orchards and opposite to the Sarahan you can witness the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak (5155M).Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 04: Sarahan to Sangla

We will drive to Sangla, which is the most beautiful valley of Himachal Pradesh, surrounded by green fields and high-mountain peaks. Stay overnight at the camp at Sangla.

Day 05: At Sangla

After breakfast visit the Kamru Fort followed by an excursion to Chitkul village. Chitkul is a fairy land. The traditional houses, temples, Gompas and the people of Baspa valley conjure up the perfect image of Shangri La. In the evening get back to Sangla. Stay overnight in a camp at Sangla.

Day 06: Sangla to Kalpa 64 Kms/04 hrs.

We will visit Rekang Peo and the new Buddhist monastery. One gets excited on witnessing the magic mountain "Kinnar Kailash" (6050M). It is said that it changes colours every day with the change of weather conditions. Stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 07: Kalpa

After breakfast we take a walk to a nearby village Ragi nearly two Kilometers from the hotel which offers a good opportunity to observe the lifestyle of the inhabitants, its architecture, custom, religion and culture. After lunch walk to the ancient Chini Village for the Gompa Hubulankar. Evening is free to explore the village life. Stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 08: Kalpa to Nako (3959M)

Our journey begins with a six hour drive covering a distance of 122km. Nako has a beautiful lake which freezes in the winter and villagers play ice hockey during this period. We will see the temple of Padamsambhava, the second incarnation of Lord Buddha who made Buddhism popular in the Trans Himalayas. Stay overnight in a camp near village.

Day 09: Nako to Tabo

After breakfast the journey starts to witness the Ajanta of Himalayas. It is a distance of 64Kms and a drive of three hours. Stay overnight in Hotel Khangsar Tabo

Day 10: Tabo to Kaza

In the morning visit the Ajantas of Himalayas, oldest caves on barren mountains of Tabo. Enjoy the Thanka paintings, one of the most precious paintings of Buddhism. Later, we will drive towards Kaza, en route visit the Dankar Gompa and in the evening camp at Kaza.

Day 11: At Kaza

After breakfast we go for an excursion to Kee monastery and Kibber village at an altitude of 4205M. After lunch we drive to the highest motorable road Langza and en route visit the Comik and Hikim village.
Stay overnight at Kaza.

Day 12: Kaza to Keylong

Today is the long drive over majestic Kunzam La pass. Kaza (3600M) to Chota Dadarpul (3960M) is a tough drive but the different landscapes en route, makes your journey really adventurous. Stay overnight at a hotel in Keylong

Day 13: Keylong to Sarchu

We will drive over Baralacha Pass to reach sarchu. Stay overnight in a camp.

Day 14: Sarchu to Leh.

The next day we drive from Sarchu to Leh. Stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 15: At Leh.

Today we see places in and around Leh including the Hemis monastery, Shey Thikse, Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa.

Day 16: At Leh

We will visit Alchi and Lamayuru on this day. Stay overnight in hotel

Day 17: Leh to Delhi by Air.

Refresh in the hotel hotel and take the day off. Transfer to Leh airport catch the flight.
