This Sikkim Trekking offers trekking holiday to Lahbha Tarum Tsachu. This is the only trek which has mountain or high altitude trek, Jungle trek, Rhododendron Trek, Lake Trek, as well as hot spring (Tarum hot spring) treks on the whole. Day 1 Gangtok - Lachung Drive:
After breakfast drive to Gangtok , en route witness the beautiful sights of the wonderful Bheema & Twin Falls. On arrival check-in to your hotel at Gangtok
Day 2 Lachung – Yumthang:
Early morning, after breakfast, we will drive for 24 km to Yumthang-valley (known as Valley of Flowers); Yumthang is the summer grazing ground of the Yaks & winter playgrounds of Yetis. On the way back we will visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Then, we will come back to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, we are free to stroll around Lachung village.
Day 3 Yumthang - Tsethang (3800 m/ 3.5 hrs approx)
On this day we will trek from Yumthang to Tsethang. Camping will be done at Tsethang. There are several wildlife sanctuaries, various species of birds, animals and wild flowers to be found.
Day 4 Tsethang - Cave Camp (3000 m)
We will trek from Tsethang to Cave Camp. Here, we can stay for a night in the cave camp.
Day 5 Cave Camp - Tarum Tsachu (Hot spring) (2650m/ 4 hrs)
Trek from Cave Camp to Tarum Tsachu (Hotspring) - As this trek area is officially opened in due time, a special permit needs to be obtained well in advance. It has different shades of green forests and abundant varieties of wild flowers.
Day 6 Tarum Tsachu - Road Head
We will trek from Tarum Tsachu and drive to Lachung or Gangtok, where Trek ends. We can enjoy an abundance of wild flowers, the rare blue poppy, and varieties of Rhododendrons, Rhubarb, amongst many other species. There are great views of many snow capped peaks including Karpo-la, Dongkhya peak, Lhako peak and Sengkamo. A rewarding trek to a Himalayan valley is of rare beauty.
