Nestled between few of the world's greatest mountain ranges, Himalayas and the Karakoram; Ladakh guarantees all the highs an adventurer seeks. Though initially banned because of cross-border tensions and then for its strategic geographic position, for a nature lover, it is a never ending process of observing the miracles of nature. From snow clad peaks and translucent lakes to barren terrain there is an exhaustive list of places to see and experience. The best season for all those trekking expeditions in Ladakh is between July and September.
The cold breeze and snow could be a major challenge, if you are the kind who believes in packing the bags and leaving in a jiffy! So for all of you, who follow their spontaneous streak, make sure you have the right clothing and a good pair of tough shoes which will see you through the entire journey. To ensure that the severity of the Ladakh weather does not become a hindrance to the trekkers, we recommend a list of musts. Do not forget to carry the following essentials : pullovers and anorak (a heavy jacket), thick cotton socks, good sleeping bag, a waterproof tent, a good quality water cantor, flash light with sufficient batteries, a sun-hat, first-aid and a pair of good quality sunglasses and lastly a good quality rucksack to put all that in.
