The Kali River forms the international border between India and Nepal in its upper reaches. A self-contained river journey down this river is one of the prime options in this part of the Himalaya. While journey of “The Kali River”, our eyes will pass from terraced farms of Kumaoni and Nepali villages, fresh water streams, sandy beaches. We will observe the thick tropical jungles, and plantations as we travel downstream through the terrain belt, which is full of exciting white water. The lack of road access makes it a complete wilderness journey with the Mahseer, making it an angler's delight. After the first few days of unruffled will float past its confluence with the Saryu at Pancheshwar, which is also a famous fishing spot. We can enjoy the occasional big rapid, and the Kali makes its final descent to the plains in the last day on river, beginning with the mighty Chooka rapid. While moving further, we will explore the terrain hills after densely forested hill sides. These opportunities will make this trip “an outdoor wilderness experience” in a league of its own.
The Rafting or Kayaking expedition down the Kali Sarda River will give us the knowledge about some standard Grade IV rafting ecstasies. The Kali Sarda River for most of its span defines the western boundary between India and Nepal.
