Singalila Trek covers the higher reaches of the Barsey (Versay) Rhododendron Sanctuary in the eastern Himalayas, which is famous for its flowers and the spectacular mountain views of the Mt Khangchendzonga and the Everest. Everest Singalila trek starts with camping in dense Oak forest amidst the calls of barking deer and birds. It is a wonderful introduction to the Himalayan Treks and their ever amazing flora and fauna. The undulating green hills of tea shrubs still dominate much of the surroundings with pine trees sprouting at various ridges and corners. The Singalila range is one of the rare spots on earth where the view holds five summits rising above 8000 meters, amongst them are Everest, Makalu and Lhotse. The visit of the main Sikkim monasteries (Pemayangtse, Tashiding, Rumtek) provides a touch of culture and make this journey an extraordinary adventure. Here we trek through enchanting forests.
The Singalila trek of Sikkim expands between 12,000 feet to 14,000 feet: the highest point. The landscape of the trek adds pleasure to trekking at Singalila. This trek has a barren landscape, which is devoid of any trees and boasts of steep and rocky hills. The Singalila trek of Sikkim extends from Kanchendzonga to the northern plains of Bengal.
