Deoriatal lake has mesmerizing surroundings and thick forests all around. Chaukambha Lake in the vicinity makes for a lovely reflection in the lake. You start from Sari village where Pandavas were believed to have stopped during their exile in the forest.From here you move further to Chopta which is another “Switzerland of India”. It is at 2600 m above sea level and has some fantastic views to offer. The sunset here is a rare sight which is difficult to forget. From here you move onto tungnath which has a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Shiva shrine here is at an altitude of 3680 m. hike to Tungnath is full of beautiful wildlife and rich vegetation.
