Cycling Tour in Munnar

 

You start off your biking trips on the off beaten paths of Munnar. You pass through the green Flourishing Madupatty is a tea estate. You cycle 14 km from Munnar in Madupatty. From Madupatti you reach Kundala which is yet another beautiful place. Here you will find a dam,
worth laying off at. The next destination is Anamudi Chola, a beautiful hill near the famous Anamudi National Park. From Anamudi you will move to Perumala. From Perumala you will cycle to Kanthallore. It is somewhere between Munnar and Chinnar wildlife sanctuary. The little village is misty and its little settlements make for a great picture.

The road from Kanthallore to Marayoor winds down through along the tea estates. Marayoor is a land of sandalwood forests. The aroma of sandalwood can signal your arrival into Marayoor. Reach Palani via Amravathy. Visit numerous temples of Palani. After visiting temples, traverse to Kodaikelan. Ride on your cycle to climb 17 hairpin bends, pass through never ending plants of tea. You will be stopped by glorious sight of Devikulam Lake. Next destination is Anamalai, comprises of tiger reserve and national parks. Moving further to Cochin, your cycle will trail through dense forests and moist pastures.
Day 1

Today you start after breakfast. Your starting point is Munnar from where you take off to Madupetty which is a 14 km cycling through green landscapes and beautiful tea plantations. You continue to Kundala and have your lunch at Anamudi chola. Rest for a while and continue to Perumala.

Day 2

Today you continue your round trip to Munnar. You continue from Perumala to Kanthallore and finally Marayoor.

Day 3

After an early morning breakfast, move further towards Palani via Amarvathy. You get a chance to spend time in exploring various temples of Palani. Have your lunch nearby a lake called Devikulam. Rest there and move to reach Anamalai.

Day 4

This whole day is occupied for Anamalai. Here you can go for visiting national parks and tiger reserves. Traverse is through lush green lands and thick woods. Have your lunch in Anamalai. Get back to Cochin.
