Paradise for nature lovers, this tiger reverse covers an area of 108 sq km. Anamalai Tiger Trail is set on hill and comprises of dense forests and lush green terrains. There are 800 species to spot. Animals like, bonnet macaque, lion tailed, Nilgris Langur, elephant gaur, mouse deer etc. Bird life includes green pigeon, woodpecker, emerald dove, black eagle etc. Four days trekking will bring you to the most prominent and coniferous sanctuaries like Indira Gandhi and Parambikulam. You get a chance to do camping under the star constellated sky.
Day 01:
On the very first day of your trip you travel to Parambikulam Tiger Reserve Camp. Take a halt for a day in tents inside the Tiger reserve. In evening, you can get indulge in some activities like bamboo rafting through a Lake called Parambikulam and take ride of Parambikulam Dusk ride. Have hot and delicious dinner.
Day 02:
Get up early and get ready for a Nature trail walk for 3 hr. Trail through boggy evergreen woods patches to experience Indian Wildlife. Thereafter, in noon continue trekking to wet forests. You can put up with camp on watch towers, from where night movements can be watched.
Day 03:
Start early morning and be prepared for hiking through lush green lands. More wildlife can be spotted here. Get back to camp site and get light food. In noon, take rest for a while and have lunch. Proceed further to reach Thellickal forest. Put up with camp at the Inspection Bungalow.
Day 04:
The last day of your trip will make you observe wildlife. Take breakfast and come back to Base camp. Continue traveling to Cochin after dinner
